Went to the premiere of the new Avengers movie yesterday, with a bunch of friends.
Mr. Whedon served up two hours of unadultered nerdy awesomeness even I as non-comic nerd could heartily enjoy.
- Special effects really have come a long long way (although I could have done without 3D, I am an old-fashioned lady after all).
- Great punch lines :) (and punches)
- Lots of main characters, and still everybody got their proper share of screen time and character introduction (necessary for viewers without the knowledge from reading the Marvel comics)
- HUGE machines
- Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. :)
