Support musicians, minus the downloader hassle

For the music-loving, Linux-using people who can’t be bothered to fiddle around with yet another external piece of software, namely Amazon’s mp3 download program: in Banshee, Ubuntu Natty’s default music player, you can enable an extension called Amazon mp3 store (kudos Aaron!) to buy music from Amazon. Basically works as browser in which you can buy your music as usual, then intercepts Amazon’s download content and downloads the files to your Banshee music library.

There is only one problem, which is not related to the extension but to Amazon’s way of providing their downloads – if your network dies during the download process, there is no way of re-initiating the download.
Net death happened to me today, so I ended up calling Amazon’s customer service (which is possible for free, fortunately). They can do re-enabling magic, after which you will find a download link in your order’s Details view. Just open the web page in Banshee, click the link and your download will start.
