Ada Lovelace Day (also 666th post)

which I use to draw your attention to Ada Lovelace Day – which is today.
This day encourages people to blog, make a video, sing or fingerpaint in order to draw attention to the achievements of  women in science.

Since the writer’s block is still lingering, I didn’t pledge to publish a blog post about a woman in tech whom I admire. It’s not that I’ve not read my share about the lives of legends like Ada Lovelace or Lise Meitner. I simply wouldn’t know whom to chose, to be honest – I’d like it to be a less-known person, and, well, I simply can’t think of anyone specific right now.

So let’s simply go on with acknowledging good work of our female colleagues, encouraging girls to look into technical professions and in general – behaving like human beings.

desenfrenada out.

No, wait – one more thing. If you are a woman, bear in mind that you don’t need to know _everything_ in order to earn respect from co-workers. Guys don’t know everything either – it’s human, and most of us are just that.
As long as you try to be your best (forgive the Dollhouse reference) it’s ok.

Now I’m done with patronising, sleep tight.
