Compliments and communication in general

Compliments, schmompliments… am I the only person who thinks there are not enough compliments around, but too much criticism?

People are so quick to provide “helpful” criticism – even if there are thousands of justifiable ways of doing something they will still think their way is the best and they won’t hesitate to let you know.

And it’s amazing how often their way of letting you know is coupled with an incredibly undiplomatic phrasing. Is it too much to ask to consider the feelings of people who are not used to be hit with a verbal brick five times per minute? I’d belong to this category of people, by the way. And I will continue to put it in writing.
Got no time for a longer rant, so to summarise: it’s called communication not verbal warfare!

  1. I’d have split this rant into 4, not just 3 paragraphs – this would have been much better

    *giggles and runs*

  2. *gg* you are lucky that my mood has improved in the meanwhile otherwise I’d have slapped you with the fourth paragraph (892 pages, hardcover).
