Again, it was Ms. Kupferfeuer’s fault – she talked me into trying on some Regency for size, and somehow I came to like the simple elegance of this era. So here goes: the story of my first Regency dress.
I used this pattern as a basis for a white summer dress made of fine linen. I had to do some adjustments on the bodice because the back of the pattern is too long, and basically I tried on, cut, tried on, cut… until I was moderately happy with the fit.
All in all: this pattern did not work for me, will not use it again.
Later on I decided that the linen is too mundane for a short-sleeved gown, so it got long sleeves and someĀ outer layers.
