Online Survey - Human-computer Interaction Design Pattern Usage

My name is Christian Kruschitz and I am a PhD Student at the University of Klagenfurt. Currently, I am working on the formalization of Human-Computer Interaction design patterns.

This questionnaire should help me get a better understanding on how HCI design patterns are currently used in industrial and academic environments. My intention is to use this information to develop a common format (XML/RDF) for HCI design patterns to support pattern authors and users in writing and using HCI design patterns more efficiently. Furthermore, this format is going to be used for transferring design patterns into machine recognizable pieces of knowledge and to support interoperability and exchange between different systems and software.

The survey consists of 9 - 13 questions (depending on your answers) and takes approx. 5-10 minutes.

Please participate in this survey. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me at chris@isys.uni-klu.ac.at. If you are interested in the results please leave your email address at the end of the survey. The survey and your email address will be stored separately to ensure an anonymous participation.

This survey is anonymous.
The record kept of your survey responses does not contain any identifying information about you unless a specific question in the survey has asked for this. If you have responded to a survey that used an identifying token to allow you to access the survey, you can rest assured that the identifying token is not kept with your responses. It is managed in a separate database, and will only be updated to indicate that you have (or haven't) completed this survey. There is no way of matching identification tokens with survey responses in this survey.
